Our commitment to privacy...
Your privacy is important to us. To better protect your privacy we provide this notice explaining our online information practices and the choices you can make about the way your information is collected and used. To make this notice easy to find, we make it available on our homepage and at every point where personally identifiable information may be requested.

The information we collect...
HCJRS.com only collects and posts information provided by visitors on a voluntary basis, specifically e-mail addresses and race results.

In compliance with the United States' CAN SPAM Act of 2003, we require "double opt-in" for all mailing lists.  This means that you will need to both submit your e-mail address and then confirm the membership via a verification e-mail that will be sent to you before you can receive any information distributed by our mailing lists.  You may unsubscribe at any time by following the directions included in each e-mail.

The way we use the information we collect...
We either maintain or facilitate multiple e-mail lists that are used to distribute information about new postings on this site as well as information regarding upcoming HCJRS events.

HCJRS.com does not and will not sell, rent, lease, lend, or otherwise distribute collected information to anyone outside the High Country Junior Race Series sponsor mountains and associated ski team programs.

If you choose to correspond with us through email, we may retain the content of your email messages together with your email address and our responses.

Our commitment to data security...
To prevent unauthorized access, maintain data accuracy, and ensure the correct use of information, we have put in place appropriate physical, electronic, and managerial procedures to safeguard and secure the information we collect online.

These may  include but are not necessarily limited to: Internet Protocol addresses (IP addresses), browser type, Internet Service Provider (ISP), referring/exit pages, platform type, date/time stamp, and the number of clicks to analyze trends, administer the site, track user movement in the aggregate, and to gather broad demographic information for aggregate use. Our commitment to children's privacy...
Protecting the privacy of the very young is especially important. For that reason, we direct individuals requesting to join our mailing lists that they must be 13 years of age or older or that they request their parents complete the contact forms.

Due to the nature of the HCJRS program, HCJRS.com posts personally identifiable information in the form of event results, including names and event results, for children under the age of 18.  At the request of a custodial parent or legal guardian, we will remove or otherwise obscure any such information upon written request as soon as physically possible.  This information is not collected on HCJRS.com but is posted with the permission of the coaching staffs of the member teams of the High Country Junior Race Series after each event.

HCJRS.com posts photos of HCJRS events.  These photos include images of children under the age of 18.  At the request of a custodial parent or legal guardian, we will remove the photos of any participant upon written request as soon as physically possible.  The photos posted here are not collected on HCJRS.com but are posted with the permission of the coaching staffs of the member teams of the High Country Junior Race Series after each event.

Please note that if there is a dispute about a request to have the information about a child under the age of 18 removed from this site we may also take reasonable steps to verify the identity and legal status of the individual making the request(s) before making permanent changes.
